Alberta Regulation First Aid Kits
All employers in Alberta must carry out an assessment of First Aid needs to ensure they conform to the requirements laid out in the Alberta (OHS) Occupational Health and Safety Code (2009) (AR 87/2009), including the self-employed and those with fewer than 5 employees. We strongly recommend that you include non-employees present on your premises (i.e., the public, contractors, etc.) when determining which First Aid Kit you should buy.
Other requirements may be in effect for those working in specific industries such as on pipelines, offshore or diving, or those under Federal jurisdiction. The following is a brief summary to help you select the appropriate kit; if you have any questions please contact us or the Alberta OHS directly. All of our First Aid Kits meet or exceed minimum Provincial requirements for content and Health Canada standards.
